有沒有問題要問?
在面試結束前,主試者通常會問你「還有沒有問題要問?」對中國人來說,通常不敢多問。對主試者來說,這表現你對這項工作不夠有興趣,所以一定不可說「沒有問題。」
我建議您至少要準備五十個問題,然後針對不同的面談情況,選擇適當的問題提出。提出問題時不要問用is, are, do開頭的問題,因為這些問題都是回答yes/no的問題,應該要問以who, what, when, where, why, how開頭的問題,才能得到詳細的資料。
一. 關於「所應徵的職務」的問題
• Would you like any more information from me?(你還希望多知道一些關於我的資料嗎?)
• What particular things about my background, experience and style interest you?(在我的背景經驗及風格中,有甚麼你有興趣的特別事嗎?)
• What experience, training, attributes, operating style, accomplishments and personality factors should the "ideal" candidate for the job have? (這個工作理想的候選人,該有甚麼樣的經驗、訓練、特性、運作風格、成就,及個性因素?)
• Is there anything in my background or experience to prevent you from considering as a viable candidate? (我的背景及經驗中,有沒有甚麼會讓你不考慮我是可行的候選人?)
• What do you see as my greatest strengths and weaknesses pertaining to this position? (關於這個職務,你看我最大的優點及缺點是甚麼?)
• Why is this position available? (這個職務為甚麼會有空缺?)
• Why are you looking to fill this position? Is it a newly created job? Did the previous employee leave? Why? (您為何要聘用人?這個職位是新的職位? 還是以前在位者離開了? 為甚麼會離開?)
• How did this job become available? Was the previous person promoted? What is their new title? Was the previous person fired? Why? (為甚麼會有這個空缺? 前一位升級了嗎? 他的新職位是甚麼? 他被解雇了嗎? 為甚麼?)
• How many people are you interviewing for this position? (您為這個職位面試多少人?)
• How many other candidates have you interviewed? How many more candidates will you be interviewing before you make a decision? (您面試過多少候選人? 在作決定前,還會面談多少位?)
• When can I expect to hear from you next? (我甚麼時候可以期待聽到你的消息?)
• Before you're able to reach a hiring decision, how many more interviews should I expect to go through and with whom? (在您決定人選之前,我還要有幾次面談? 和誰?)
• What is the time frame for making a decision on this position? (這個職務的人選決定時間範圍是多久?)
• When will a decision be made about this position? (關於這個職務人選甚麼時候會決定?)
• How would you describe the duties of the position? (請描述這個職位的職責。)
• Is a written job description available? (有沒有文字的工作內容敘述?)
• How would you describe a typical day in this position? (請描述這個職位每天例行的職責。)
• What characteristics does a successful person within your company possess? (在您公司中成功人具有甚麼樣性格?)
• What personal qualities make someone successful in this job? (這個職務上要成功要具備甚麼個人特質?)
• What skills are important to be successful in this position? (這個職務上要成功要具備甚麼技術?)
• What percentage of my time would be spent in the various functions you described that this job involves? (這個工作所牽涉到的不同功能中,每項所佔的百分比是多少?)
• How many people have had this position and where have they gone? (以前有多少人做過這個職位?他們現在到哪裡去了?)
• What is a typical career path for people in this position? (這個職務上的人其身升遷管道如何?)
• What are the prospects for advancement beyond this level? (這個職位階程將來會有甚麼發展?)
• How does one advance in the organization? (在這個組織裡會有甚麼進展?)
• What needs to be accomplished in this position in the next 6-12 months? (這個職務在未來半年到一年中,需要達到些甚麼?)
• To where have successful people in this position advanced? (這個職務上成功的人,晉升到哪裡去了?)
• What criteria will my supervisor use for my performance evaluation and how frequently? (我的上司評量我的工作表現時用甚麼標準? 多久評量一次?)
• How is worker performance measured and reviewed? (員工的工作表現是怎樣評量及檢視的?)
• How often are performance reviews given? (多久評量一次員工的工作表現?)
• How much travel is normally expected? (通常需要出差多少?)
• How much evening or weekend work is expected? (需要多少晚上及週末加班?)
• Could you tell me about public transportation to your company? (您可以告訴我,有甚麼公共交通工具到貴公司嗎?)
• What kind of training should I expect and for how long? (我會得到甚麼樣的訓練? 多久?)
