Do you manage your time well?
I rarely miss a deadline. When circumstances beyond my control interfere, I make up the time lost as quickly as possible."
I establish a To-Do list first thing in the morning. Then I add to it -- and reprioritize tasks, if necessary -- as the day goes on."
1. Have you ever had difficulties getting along with others?
2. Tell me about the types of people you have trouble getting along with. . .
• I guess I have trouble with mediocre and poor workers. I don't expect to ever accept poor work, but I'm learning to be more patient.
• Describe a situation where your work or an idea was criticized.
• I listened carefully and resisted the temptation to interrupt or defend myself. Then I fed back what I heard to make sure the facts were straight. I asked for advice, we bounced some ideas around, then I came back later and represented the idea in a more viable format.
My supervisor's input was invaluable.
Your application shows you have been with one company a long time without any appreciable increase in rank or salary. Tell me about this.
• My previous employer is a stable company with a good working environment, but there's minimal growth there in my area, in fact, there hasn't been any promotion in my area since 1995. Your question is the reason I am meeting here with you.
• I have the skills and ability to take on more responsibility and I'm looking for a company to do that.
• Describe a difficult problem you've had to deal with.
• Well, I always follow a five-step format with a difficult problem.
1. I stand back and examine the problem.
2. I recognize the problem as the symptom of other, perhaps hidden, factors.
3. I make a list of possible solutions to the problem.
4. I weigh both the consequences and cost of each solution, and determine the best solution.
5. I go to my boss, outline the problem, make my recommendation, and ask for my superior's advice and approval.
1. What salary do you want?
2. What salary are you expecting?
3. What are your salary requirements?
• It's negotiable.
• We can negotiate the salary.
• I would accept between ___ and ___. (介於___ 與___之間。)
• I would expect to be paid what other persons in this job are paid. . .
• How much does the job pay?
• How much is a new employee usually paid?
• How much do you usually pay someone with my experience?
• In addition to salary, what benefits would most interest you?
